The Challenge
When Vertex Hub Group was engaged by New Fortis Sacco, the organization was struggling to manage payroll and human resource operations across its multiple branches. Each payroll cycle required coordination among several staff members to gather employee data, compute salaries, apply statutory deductions, and manually process transactions through their T24 banking system.
What should have been a seamless process often stretched over several days—causing delays, inconsistencies, and administrative strain.

Understanding the Challenge
Our team began by collaborating closely with New Fortis Sacco's finance, HR, and IT departments to understand their operational pain points. It quickly became evident that the manual handling of payroll data, fragmented HR records, and lack of system integration were key obstacles. Employees had no unified platform to access payslips or apply for leave, and administrators had to perform repetitive data entry across systems.
The Solution
To address these challenges, I led the development and customization of a comprehensive ERP solution powered by Dynamics 365 Business Central, fully integrated with the organization's T24 core banking system. The solution was designed around two core components:
Payroll Processing Module (T24 Integration)
Developed a Business Central payroll module to manage employee details, basic salary, allowances, and loan deductions.
Automated payroll computations including gross pay, allowable deductions, statutory contributions, and net pay.
Implemented seamless integration with T24, enabling automatic posting of transactions such as salary disbursements, statutory deductions, and loan repayments.
Result: Reduced payroll processing time from a week-long manual task to a one-hour operation, while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Human Resource and Employee Self-Service Portal
Built an HR management module within Business Central to securely handle employee records, leave management, and approval workflows.
Developed a web-based employee self-service portal integrated with BC, giving staff across all branches access to apply for leave, view payslips, and update personal information in real-time.
Result: Centralized data management and improved transparency, reducing administrative workload and enhancing employee experience.

The ERP integration transformed how New Fortis Sacco handled payroll and HR operations. By automating key processes and bridging Business Central with T24, the organization achieved significant efficiency gains, data accuracy, and staff satisfaction.
